- Respect and trust—The outcomes of the coaching
process are as good as the relationship with the coach. I acknowledge
every client’s accomplishments and humanity, his or her strengths
and weaknesses, just as I have my own.
- Integrity—I will keep my commitments and my
word.
- Confidentiality—I take the confidentiality
of discussions with my clients very seriously.
- Compassion and rigor—I have great empathy and
compassion for those with whom I work, and can soon come to understand
where they are. In my role as a coach, I can also judge how best to
challenge clients to get to another place.
- Outcome based/results-oriented—I firmly believe
in measurable results, and my emphasis on this distinguishes me from
some other coaches. As we go through the process, I work with the client
to create specific goals, set markers, and assess accomplishment through
well-defined outcomes, in both the short and long term.
- Individually-tailored approach—Every human
being is different, as is every good coaching plan. I spend a
great deal of time working out a program specific to an individual.
